El'Zabar Jazz Trio

Legendary Chicago percussionist/composer brings to Toronto his Trane Trio Tribute ensemble featuring rising tenor saxophone star Isaiah Collier and Justin Dillard on keyboard.

The Sept. 23rd show will celebrate the brilliance of iconic jazz legend John Coltrane, and the 60th anniversary of the release of his ground-breaking album, Coltrane. The El’Zabar Trio will perform the entire album, and the following night – Sept. 24th – will switch gears and perform Coltrane’s Impressions album, which was released in 1963. Both albums are considered timeless masterpieces of jazz brilliance.
