Maddy Ringo Launches EP at the Rivoli

Toronto born and bred, Maddy Ringo will be headlining at Rivoli, where the likes of Adele, John Mayer, Drake and Dave Grohl are among the dozens of legendary performers that have walked the stage early in their rise to fame.

Maddy has been singing since the age of 6, learning performance skills and classical training with the Canadian Children’s Opera Company and made her solo debut on stage at the Four Seasons Centre with the Canadian Opera Company at age 14. Now a singer-songwriter of her own music, Maddy’s soulful voice and exceptional poetry has been compared to the bluesy style of K.D. Lang with the folk-Americana feel of Joni Mitchell. She is only 19 and attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she is obtaining a Bachelor of Musical Arts in classical voice.
