Own the Light: Group Show

Light is the basis of human sight. Light reflects off of objects and enters the eye where it is channeled to the retina and perceived as colours and shapes. In art, light and shadow are fundamental to expressing three-dimensional form. A sculptor can be control the light by their forms and textures. In every type of art, from representational to abstraction, the light is an essential element in our perception. This light can play with our perceptions, challenging viewers with what they see and understand from each piece. To direct the outcome of any piece of art the artist must control the light.
