SCHUMANN & DVORAK: Rejoice in Romance

Sinfonia Toronto’s Schumann & Dvorak  Rejoice in Romance concert celebrates the holiday season with a Baroque favourite, Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, and also continues the orchestra’s 25th Anniversary celebrations with a waltz dedicated to them by a Ukrainian composer.

Under the baton of Music Director Nurhan Arman, the concert will include an evocative Canadian work, Jocelyn Morlock’s Nostalgia, and two major works from the Romantic era. Super-star cellist Stéphane Tétreault will join the orchestra for Robert Schumann’s beautifully melodic, introspective Cello Concerto, and the concert will finish with The Cypresses, a suite of ten love songs by Dvorak.
