Set the Table! YWCA Toronto's Inspirations Studio Turns 30!

For 30 years, our low-barrier studio has a mission of facilitating improvements in women and gender-diverse people’s lives through the making and selling of pottery. Help us celebrate with a live and silent auction at the Great Hall of OCADU.

Set the Table, will be hosted by Carolyn Taylor, will also include wheel demos, pottery painting, Live and Silent Auctions as well as free food and drinks.100% of the proceeds will support women and gender diverse people at Inspirations Studio.

YWCA Toronto’s Inspirations Studio is a unique ceramic arts program that empowers women and gender-diverse people experiencing poverty, houselessness,mental health challenges or disability while improving their lives through the making and selling of pottery.Members of the program receive studio access, storefront selling opportunities and arts education.Through creative, therapeutic and skill-building work, women gain self-confidence and stability while connecting to community, gaining a source of supplemental income, and finding a new way to engage with the world as makers.Inspirations Studio also offers accessible, low barrier workshops and collaborative opportunities for partner agencies who work with under-served communities.
