Join the YMCA of Greater Toronto’s virtual discussion on Emancipation Day, “Carried Ingenuity: The Culture, Civilization and Creativity of our African Ancestors.”

The event features Rosemary Sadlier, a social justice advocate, researcher and international speaker who will talk about the journey to the declaration of Emancipation Day. She will also speak to the cultural heritage carried by enslaved Africans and how their invaluable knowledge, creativity and contributions are woven into the fabric of our lives today.
