Join us for this solo show of tapestries by Toronto artist Betty Wood exploring the intersection of memory and space through fibres
Presented for the first time publicly, this free exhibition of fibre artworks by Toronto-based artist Betty Wood explores the intersection of memory and space and celebrates the joy of queer homemaking.
Betty's 'slow art' combines hand embroidery, rug hooking and rug punching techniques at unexpected scales to create rich, illustrated tapestries of public and private spaces. Furniture and plants enliven her rich and immersive scenes, which are created slowly using wool, cotton and upcycled leather, one loop at a time.
FREE to attend.
