34th Annual New Ideas Festival

34th Annual New Ideas Festival

Presented by Alumnae Theatre Company at Alumnae Theatre Company

Witness theatrical history with premieres of dramatic and comedic writing from both emerging and experienced theatre artists. This year marks NIF's thirty-sixth anniversary and features a line-up of eight new works over a two week period. Exploring themes such as identity, memory, family, relationships, and the nature of art, the play's eclectic mix of characters include a troubled woman prospector, an angry mother mourning her son, a naive young drug dealer, a French-speaking performance artist and a disillusioned theatre critic. Look in the mirror with four older women, imagine what your DNA could tell you, and witness a dinner party entertainment staged by an eccentric family. Come, enjoy two evenings of original plays, and share your thoughts with playwrights and directors as they look to further develop their work.
