The Coltranes Sutras

Inspired by the late 60’s avant-garde artistic movements of John and Alice Coltrane, saxophonist brothers Jonathan and Andrew Kay are continuing the Coltranes’ search for a transcultural theory of artistic expression.

Hailing from Toronto's jazz scene and trained extensively in North Indian classical music in Kolkata, India, the Kay brothers reimagine the Coltranes' legacy through a captivating lens. In 2021, they released their debut album, Dusk Dawn Suite, collaborating with jazz luminaries Roberto Occhipinti and Pat LaBarbera.
