April Open Studio+

Join us for our monthly Brampton Arts Organization Open Studio+. Make the BAO office your studio once a month from noon to 8:00 PM!

Bring your own works in progress or just drop in and use our art supplies and material to start a new project, find inspiration in our Community Library or use our photo studio.

because it’s more than just an open studio. In addition to creating a space for community to gather, share work and support each other, we will also be hosting skill-building workshops during each Open Studio +.

A space to foster creativity and encourage experimentation in an atmosphere of exchange, conversation, and support.

Featured Workshop: Book Idea to Book Tour: Navigating the Publishing World with Jael Richardson from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
When it comes to publishing books in Canada, the journey of an emerging writer can be overwhelming. Where does one begin? Join bestselling author and Executive Director of The Festival of Literary Diversity, Jael Richardson for a workshop on writing and publishing. Find out what it takes to go from book idea to book tour, including how to navigate diverse stakeholders such as editors, agents, and publishers.

Ask Me Anything with Jael Richardson from 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Richardson will be at the BAO office from 5:30 PM – 6 PM for an “Ask Me Anything” session before the workshop begins. You can bring your manuscript for review and receive light feedback.
