Bound for Canada: A Musical Journey from Hardship to Hope

Bound For Canada is a gala concert honouring the resilience of our Irish ancestors and the compassion of the brave Canadians who provided comfort to the thousands of Irish Famine Migrants who landed on these shores 175 years ago.

Blending classical and traditional Irish music, the original orchestral score was created exclusively for Canada Ireland Foundation by renowned Irish composer Odhrán Ó Casaide.   The music is a thank you letter to those who, during difficult times, put humanity above all else.

Featuring celebrated musical talent from Ireland and Canada, including featured vocalist Sibéal Ní Chasaide, Ireland’s official Garda Band, the North York Concert Orchestra and the Toronto Choral Society.
