Favour The Brave Collective

Favour The Brave is a loose and ever changing collective of Toronto artists dedicated to developing and vibrantly re-telling traditional Canadian stories. We work collaboratively to create, stage, and produce stories of this country’s history from a female and indigenous point of view, challenging the status quo and giving voice to the traditionally marginalized.

Our projects include “Deceitful Above All Things” at Summerworks 2015, with a remount in collaboration with Factory Theatre and the Storefront in February 2017; “Dark Heart” in collaboration with Thought for Food at the Assembly Theatre in January 2018; and “New World” at the Attic in collaboration with Seven Siblings Theatre in October 2017.

These productions have been nominated for several awards, including: Best Emerging Artist Award (Genevieve Adam, “Deceitful Above All Things”); Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Production, and Outstanding Ensemble (“Deceitful Above All Things”).

In December 2018, “Dark Heart” was voted one of the Toronto Star’s Top 10 theatrical productions of the year.
