Mixtape Projects

Mixtape Projects is an unapologetically fun and feminist movement theatre company. We are located in Toronto, Ontario on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. We are a company in which dance and theatre are equal players and where music is our greatest source of inspiration.

We produce original works and re-imagined pre-existing works that are funny, pop-culture aware and physically inclined. Our projects are performed by big, boisterous groups of artists. We believe every project is a passion project and whether dramatic or comedic, it should come from a place of surprise, joy and excitement. Mixtape Projects engages with performers who are captivating in their own unique style and voice. We strive for narratives that feature people of colour, LGBTQ2IA+, and people with varying abilities. Diversity in our casting and creative team is essential to our projects.
