New Dimension Steel Orchestra

Welcome to New D Steel Orchestra (New D)! Established in 1994 by Miley Duke and Jose Machado, we are proud to call the vibrant York Mills and Leslie area in North York, home.

Currently, under the leadership of Thadel Wilson, Denise Als, and Richard Cornelius, New D is dedicated to bringing the younger generation into the world of steelpan while fostering community building and promoting the education and importance of this unique instrument in Canada.

Operating year-round, we are committed to growth and development, encouraging aspiring musicians and passionate enthusiasts to become well-rounded players. As a diverse band, we embrace inclusivity, reflecting the rich diversity of the Caribbean itself.
