Trinity Square Park

Trinity Square Park

This public square park is nestled between the Toronto Eaton Centre, some tall buildings and Old City Hall. Part of Toronto’s early history, it was the site of John Simcoe Macaulay’s estate in the early 19th century and home to the Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1847. The church’s first rector was Reverend Henry Scadding, a scholar and author whose brick townhouse still sits on the square beside the church. Trinity Square features a fountain and ornamental pond, a labyrinth, and seating and is a popular spot for music, cultural and other events.
